Foundation: A previous belief that Middlesbrough Football Club was founded at a tripe supper at the Corporation Hotel has been proved to be...a load of tripe! In fact, members of Middlesbrough Cricket Club - keen to stay in touch during the winter months - formed the club in a meeting in the gymnasium of the Albert Park Hotel in 1875.
